Quick study with the new Ceracolors

This is the little painting I did during the Paco Benitez Encaustic Workshop at my studio using a brand new product called Ceracolors.  I used 4 colors which we refer to as the Zorn palette--black, white, ochre, and an earth red. Actually, the Zorn palette originates from the ancient Greeks as we found out in our workshop.
I used the Ceracolors like acrylic paint. They have the richer look of oils, the flexibility to be used as encaustic paint, and the properties of acrylic paint in that they are water soluble and dry very quickly.

Lots of fun with this new paint product.  I'm looking forward to experimenting more with these paints and discovering more about their properties and application.
