Gesture Sketches from our Tuesday Figure Drawing

We do short poses every Tuesday evening here at Patris Studio.  I wanted to try something different, so I took these old blue pieces of mat board, mixed up a pile of flesh tone paint for the light side, and a flesh color for the shadow side and one pile of dark color and painted these 2 min- 15 min. gestures.  So much FUN!!!!

Quick Poses from Pop Up Art Session

These are the five acrylic sketches I did from the model during our Pop Up Friday session last week.  We did 5 poses ranging from 10 minutes to one hour.  Super fun and a great way to work quickly and just have fun.

Here is the 24x30 acrylic painting I did in one hour at last week's Pop Up.  I gessoed the back of some old blue prints and they make great practice painting paper for quick studies.

Larry the Musician from Old I

This was a drawing I did during our 3-hour long pose session with the model at S12 from 1:30 - 4:30 pm Thurday afternoon.  Our model, Larry is a local musician over at Old Ironsides and he's a great model!
