A plein air painting I created from a scene in McKinley Park. This piece I had to come back to the studio and finesse it somewhat as it was a particularly cloudy and sunny combination of an afternoon and the color and shadows were shifting every few minutes.
One of the 4 paintings I've created for the "Table Top" Collection. This painting I did from a still life set up in the studio, using my mother's china. I generally prefer to paint in warm tones, so I was experimenting with the blue hues.

Aspen Grove plein air from last autumn's plein air outing with artist buddies, Abigail VanCannon and Randy Blasquez, The color was amazing and a painter's paradise in this aspen grove just outside of Truckee.
Plein air painting from an afternoon out in Winters a while back. Need to get back out there and do some more painting --it's my favorite place to paint in these parts!
