White VW Bug

Another small plein air painting I did the other day,  There is a VW repair shop around the corner from my studio so the Bugs parked on the street are great subjects to paint --until the mechanics need to take them into the garage for repair and my subject disappears!

Autumn Plein Air

This is a plein air painting  I did a few weeks ago at the Watt Avenue River Access.  It was a beautiful glorious day and I am totally in my element when I get to paint outside in the beautiful nature.  (I think that passion comes from growing up in the beautiful northwest corner of Montana!)

Still Life Study from Elio Camacho's class on Tuesdays

This is a quick still life study I was able to do last Tuesday during Elio's class.  He comes up from the Bay Area every Tuesday to teach this class and it is such a great opportunity to study with such an accomplished artist.  I am learning so much from him.   We will be scheduling a plein air workshop with him most likely this spring--that will be a great learning opportunity!

Local Interest on KVIE: Patris the Artist

click here to watch the online segment of Rob on the Road:
Local Interest on KVIE
Click the Local interest link above to go on line and view this segment of Rob on the Road when he came to my studio in Oak Park and interviewed me about my art, my studio and my art journey through life.  He did an amazing job of making a beautiful story.

Thank you to everyone in my life and in my world who has been part of my art journey and for all the wonderful people I've had the opportunity to interface with because of art and creativity somehow connecting us together.

I'm grateful and humbled by this opportunity to share my story with a wider public audience and hopefully some of the life lessons I've learned on this journey as an artist will bring hope, inspiration, and joy to those watching this segment of Rob on The Road, which airs publicly on TV Monday Dec. 23 at 7:30 pm - 8 pm.

Let the journey continue!  Make Art!
